About Moutai

Named after the place of origin and produced only along the Chishui River in Moutai Town of China’s Guizhou Province, Moutai is the original and typical representative of China’s Sauce Aroma baijiu, and the pinnacle of Chinese baijiu.

The process is also conducted entirely by hand over a whole year, using sophisticated techniques which have been passed down for generations. More about Moutai

Located in China’s Guizhou Province, Kweichow Moutai is named after the town of the same name and can only be produced along the Chishui River where the town is located, which is the world’s most valuable liquor brand. Moutai is the original and typical representative of China’s Sauce Aroma baijiu, and has been the pinnacle of Chinese baijiu for the last century. Most recently, Moutai has successfully shared the title of “World’s Top Three Distilled Liquors” alongside Cognac and Scotch whisky. Moutai has a long history commencing in 135 BC, its predecessor, the Jujiang liquor produced around the current Moutai Town was chosen as an imperial tribute. In 1915, Moutai won the gold prize at the Panama Pacific International Exposition. Today, the ancient traditional technique is perfectly integrated with modern technology to create the No. 1 distilled liquor brand.
